How does the BeadRider attach to the saddle?
The BeadRider is attached via supplied marine-quality shock cord that slides under the saddle. The cords are then pulled tight using the supplied cord-locks.
Do I have to remove my saddle to install/remove the BeadRider?
Yes. If you wish to be able to install/remove the BeadRider without removing the saddle you will need to purchase a set of Quick-Straps. One order of Quick-Release straps will be needed for each BeadRider you want to secure.
Will the BeadRider damage my saddle/bike?
It is impossible for us to make a blanket statement about every saddle manufactured, especially since there are saddles made from all types of exotic materials from cowhide to snakeskin. And while we have never had such a complaint, we would refer you to the saddle’s manufacturer for that question. We will tell you that your saddle will not damage our Beads!
Do you make beaded seats for other applications?
Yes and No. While we do not specifically make sizes for other applications, customers have purchased our seats for use on dozens of other applications such as kayaks, office chairs, airplanes, wheelchairs, etc. Somewhere there is even an Apache Helicopter with a BeadRider on it!
Do you ship International and how much does it cost?
Yes. We have shipped BeadRider seats to nearly every country in the world with very few problems. We ship via USPS Airmail for orders less than 4 pounds. This would include all single seats and Classic Sets. All Ultimate Sets (over 4 pounds) are shipped via USPS Priority Mail. International shipments usually take about 5-10 business days to get to you.
I just ordered a seat. How long will it take to get to me?
We try to fill every order within 24-48 hours, but keep in mind that during the summer, we get very busy so it may take longer. All seats are shipped via USPS Priority Mail, which means 2 days if you are on the east coast and 3 days if you are on the west coast. If you need a seat on short notice (or overnight shipping) or are traveling and want a seat shipped to you on the road, please contact and we will see what we can do.

I want a Custom BeadRider for my bike. Do you do that?
Yes, sort of. If you want a size that is not listed you will need to send us a pattern. Once we receive the pattern, we will then tell you if we can make the seat and give you a price. Custom seats are not returnable for any reason. Prices for custom seats start at $55 for a Classic Rider seat and go up from there.
I don’t see my bike listed on the sizing chart. What should I do?
Send us an email. We have probably done a BeadRider for every bike ever made. We can give you some guidance. And of course you can always swap for another size. Please keep in mind the sizes in the sizing chart are usually based on what other riders with that type of bike have ordered.
I have tried the BeadRider and it is just not for me. Can I return it for a refund?
Yes, as long as it is within 30 days of purchase. For years we did not even have this limitation until one particular rider rode with his BeadRider for a year before deciding he didnt like it and wanted a full refund. It only takes one person to ruin it for everyone. If you want to return your seat for a refund, contact us.
Are the beads slippery to ride on?
If you have never ridden on beads before it is a different sensation. You will definitely move around more than on a saddle, but that is part of the reason they work. And no, we have never had anyone slide off a bike because they were sitting on beads. If this is one of your concerns, perhaps you should not be riding a motorcycle!
I am vertically challenged. Will the beads make a difference in my ability to touch the ground?
Yes. The beads will raise you up about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. That may not sound like a lot, but for some people, it is a huge consideration.
Are the Rider seats square?
No, the size (14×14, 13×13 etc) refers to the overall size of the BeadRider. The shape is tapered to fit the saddle. All of our Pillion seats are generally rectangular.
Do you take PayPal?
No, but we take most credit cards, checks, money orders and cash.
I live near you. Can I stop by and pick up a seat to save shipping charges?
Yes. Contact us and we will try and make arrangements.
I am afraid to order on the internet. Is your site secure?
While neither one of us is an internet guru, our web mistress tells us it is. More important, in over 10 years we have never had any of our customers compromised. We also do not share any of your information with any other company. We can barely keep up with our own needs!
I want to Earn a Seat, but the promotion says it is not going on right now. Also can I earn the Ultimate Seat instead of the Classic?
The Earn a Seat promotion generally runs in January/February to give us something fun to do in the winter. The promotion is only good the Classic seat. And no, you cannot put the credit towards the purchase of the Ultimate Seat. It’s a government regulation thing.
Do you have a Dealer program?
Yes, we have Dealers all across the country. Contact us if you are interested in being a dealer.
The paint is wearing off on my Classic BeadRider. Can they be repainted?
Yes, as many times as you want. Use a black enamel spray paint, followed by several coats of a clear spray polyurethane gloss. Paint wear is normal for the Classic Seat and not covered under warranty. There is no need to ever paint the Ultimate seat.
